Richard has a wide experience of photographing many different subjects and people, but his love lies in the landscape and capturing the essence of a place.

He utilises a variety of techniques from long exposures, high dynamic range to more traditional techniques.

Presently his feet are firmly in the digital realm. He believes in living today and using the technology we have right now to push his art forwards. He owns film cameras and finds the darkroom a rewarding and relaxing place to be, however these days the computer screen is his digital darkroom where he finds there to be broader creative opportunities.

In the past he has been a school teacher, an international businessman and then a graphic designer. He has lived, worked and travelled all over the world. Throughout all these experiences nothing ever captivated his attention in the same way as photography has and that's how he came to be where he is now.
